Hey there,

we're having a problem getting IE to remember the passwords
for a share-point portal site that's on another location
(different domain too).

Strangely enough the username does appear under WindowsXP
in the configuration panel under users & passwords (where
also the .NET acc's appear). The password field is empty
there as well though (with other accounts there, there's a
default of 20 stars if a password is set). If I fill in the
password there and click ok and return it will be empty again.

We're having this on all our WindowsXP and Windows2000
machines. I've been doing some searching and somewhere I
found a note that it's not possible to save passwords for
domains that you're not in. But I'm hoping this is not true.

TIA
