I use Comcast broadband as my ISP. Recently I haven't
been able to connect to the internet through my desktop.
I have no problems connecting using my laptop. I use the
same cable and modem to connect to the internet for both
the machines. I am running Win 98 on the desktop and Win
2000 on the laptop. The lights on the modem and ethernet
card on desktop indicate good connection. The service
people from Comcast have mentioned it might have something
to do with the socket??? Don't know what they mean by
this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
