xp user has trouble logging on with ie6

admin user set up in xp can log on with ie no problem but
user without admin rights has problems. screen comes up
blank. i have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of
times. ideas? also ran norton disk doctor and have
finished cleaning off a bunch of worms (sasser, korgo,
bobex) so i wonder if one of those chewed up something
vital. ideas?
