Hi,

The solution involves editing the registry. Please read Microsoft's
warning BEFORE using regedit.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that
may require you to reinstall. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

Please follow the Method listed in order so that we can narrow down the
problem one by one.

Method 1: ( I know you have done it)
=========
Clear all History and Temporary Internet Files

Method 2: ( Registry editing)
========
1. Start -> Run
2. In the Run dialog box type "Regedit" and press enter key
3. Navigate to this key and see if your offending item is there in the list
of sub-keys. If so, then remove it.
                HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\TypedURLs
4. Exit Regedit and reboot

Method 3: ( For XP systems only)
========
1. Start - > Run
2. Select "Control Panel" from the menu
3. Click on "Taskbar and Start Menu"
4. Click on "Start Menu" tab
5. For Start menu (XP Style) radio buttion click "Customize" button, the
click on the "Clear list" button OR
    For Classic Start menu (Old classic style) radio buttion click
"Customize" button, the click on the "Clear" button
6. This will clear Start - > Run entries, address list, documents recently
opened, and home page urls
                                                                            
 
Method 4:
========
1. In Start 'Search' window:
2. Click on "All files and folders"
3. Type a part of the web site in "All or part of the file name:" (without
http://)
4. Make sure the options are checked with check box:
a. Search System folders
b. Search hidden files and folders
c. Search subfolders
5. Click the "Search" button
6. See if your offending item is the list. If so, then remove it.

Method 5: (I hate this method)
========
1. Start-Run-Regedit.
2. Navigate to this key :
     HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
3. Delete the key "TypedURLs"
4. Re-create a key "TypedURLs"
5. Exit Regedit
5. Reboot the system

To set home page:
================
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Internet Options, click the Programs tab, and then click
Reset Web Settings.
NOTE: Make sure the Also reset my home page check box is selected, and then
click YES.
