I don't know who else to ask about this. I've tried MSN
tech support and my computer manufacturer's tech support,
and they insist it can't be done, but I know it can,
because a friend did it to my old computer. Also, for a
brief time, I was signed up with Netzero ISP, and they
even asked if I wanted this option, which of course I did.
How do you turn off the sound to the modem so it doesn't
make the squelching noise when you sign in? Please, if you
don't know the answer to this, can you direct me to
someone who does? I'm about to pull my hair out on this.

Thanks,
Linda
