I'm in the same boat. For some reason, while
troubleshooting a problem (IE6 would not run),I thought
(incorrectly) that I could uninstall and reinstall. Not
the case, apparently. IE6 is a part of Windows XP (Pro
and Home). I've tried now to reinstall using the lastest
IE6 sp (ie6setup.exe) and have run into the same problem
you have: no logo testing for this version. Seems like a
contridiction, afterall, I downloaded the program from
Microsoft! Now IE will load my home page and then
close. Not very useful. I can get it working if I go
through the Help and Support under the Start button.
Then, if I already have an instance of IE open, I can
open another by using the icons to run IE. I have no
clue what to do next.
