Jim, et. al.,
I am having the same problem too. I use WIN ME on this
computer. I have, however, successfully upgraded on my
labtop running XP. I'm sure that Microsoft is aware of
the problem by now. Is it that they don't care about us
who are running older systems? For now I will stick with
IE5.5 but will check back periodically to see if someone
has solved the problem. What I'd like to do in the
interim is to remove the pending upgrade. I remember
reading something about simply deleting the certain
directory but will wait until I'm sure.
