Error message in Outlook Express

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Whilst browsing newsgroups via Outlook Express, I occasionally receive the
message "Outlook Express Manager List Control" in the message list
window(this is not specific to any particular newsgroup). The system is
then locked and I cannot access any other newsgroups. I can only recover
from this by using Ctrl, Alt, Del or more often, a hard reboot, which
results in a ScanDisk and then all my icons in the Desktop are reordered.
Fortunately I can re-order the icons using EzDesk.

I am using Outlook Express 6 with Windows 98SE and I also use QE-QuoteFix.
My news server is text.news.ntlworld.com.


Any suggestions much appreciated.
