e-mail attachment question

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I friend of mine is using OE6 and for some reason, whenever he opens an
attachment (not a movie, but like an .eml), it defaults to WordPad and the
message has all kind of stuff on it.
I tried OE Help and couldn't find anything about changing it. Is there a
way to change it back so that when he opens an attachment it opens in the
"normal" window view?
