Two Questions About OE 6.0 !!

Question 1: My newly loaded Outlook Express 6.0 automatically checks
and downloads new message headers in the NEWS groups. Although I like
to have OE automatically download MAIL headers every five minutes and have
it set to do that, I don't know how to keep it from downloading NEWS
headers at the same time. I have looked and looked at the various options,
but cannot find how to stop this action. Please help me !!


Question 2 : When I compose an email, I like to use regular font, not
BOLD. I know how to select the font type, size, and whether you want it
italic, bold, regular, etc etc. I can select the regular font every time
that I compose an email, but it then defaults to BOLD the next time I want
to compose another message. How can I select the REGULAR font so that it
defaults to that ??
