OE6 Message links not opening

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I now cannot open any link I click on within the body of an email message.
I have not identified any setting that might be causing this to happen.
Please help. I am using a pop-up stopper but disabling it does not have any
effect. I also use the following:

Windows XP SP1
NAV2005 antivirus

Please advise. Thank you.
