What do you mean by "uninstall/reinstall"?
There are few recent operating systems where this can be done,
assuming you mean IE6.
What o/s are you using?

I have a problem with IE6 browser not opening up when I sign onto internet.
It's been happening about 2 weeks now. I thought it had something to do with
NetZero, since IE browser usually opens with sign-on, however, an
uninstall/reinstall didn't help.

When I click the "e" on bottom start bar it doesn't show that it's open,
however, when I shut down computer, I get message that IE page isn't
responding to close action and have to click "end now" to shut it down.
Apparently IE is open, can't close on it's own, AND I can't see it!
Occasionally my computer freezes up, with restart my only option.

I've used system restore, several times with different dates in the month of
July, before this problem happened, but it didn't resolve the problem either.
I haven't tried doing uninstall of IE to reinstall because I'm afraid it
might mess up other XP files in the process. Especially since my computer
came preloaded with XP and I don't have CD's to fix any XP problems.

Can someone please help me with this issue? By the way, I've been using
SlimBrowser to access the internet . . . Thanks for ANY help or suggestions!
