Help with Root Certificates???

HELP! I did a bunch of deleting of files to help fix a
nasty virus and spamware infestation and in the process
removed a bunch of root certificates frommy trusted root
certificates files.

Now my IE 6.0 browser doesn't find half the sites I point
it towards. Some are fine so I suspect they are built on
the required ones for Microsoft IE, but I have no idea
how to import new ones to enable me to see anything that
is not Microsoft supported.

Can anyone help me on this or is this perhaps a different
problem than root certificates?

I was deleting the root certificates on the advice of a
microsoft post about innoculating against future virus
and trojan attacks, HOWEVER, like a fool I did not do as
the instructions said in terms of exporting what I was
deleting before I struck that final delete key. Damn!
When in doubt, follow the direction!

Thanks in advance --
Tamra
