Internet site Log-in problems

I recently reformatted my computer. I belong to a site
that requires a login/password. However, when I click to
bring up the login popup, it goes to the "Page not found"
page.
I checked my security settings on my IE and it is
on "Prompt for user name and password" for internet zone.
Any fix to this? I am running Win98 and on a HP Pavillion
4455. Thanks.
