Re: Scripting Error/Runtime Error

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I uninstalled I.E7 and ran a Windows update. I'm now using I.E 6 and I'm
still receiving this error. I'm sure it is not a browser version issue but an
issue with Requisition Management -Microsoft GP Business Portal.

I'm receiving this error message when trying to create a purchase requisition
in Microsoft Business Portal (GP10). I'm using I.E.7.

I tried registering all the DLLs mentioned in kb article
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679 and received some error messages
for the following dlls
mshtml.dll - The file cannot be registered "entry point not found"
browseui.dll - Module couldn not be found

That article does not apply to IE7.
If you need help with IE7 you would be better off looking
in the IE General NG. You would appear to have a problem
at least with your browseui.dll module.

After this, I tried registering the mbfwebBehaviors.dll

(Where did that rabbit come from?)

(Live Search for
MBFWebBehaviors
)

<quote>
MBFWebBehaviors.cab isn't malware or spyware.
It contains the script behaviors that are needed
by the web parts in Business Portal.
</quote>

(first I dropped it into the i386 and system32 folders) ,

I suspect it would be a better idea to try uninstalling its product
and then reinstall it properly (or repairing it if there is a repair option)
instead of trying such ad hoc procedures.

I got the following message : Load library ("mbfwebBehaviors.dll" failed.
This application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

So, why not try that?

In viewing the event viewer, I saw : "Generate Activation Context failed for
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\CONFLICT.69\MBFWebBehaviors.dll.
Reference error message: The operation completed successfully."

AND another event viewer message stated:

"Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft.VC80.CRT. Reference error
message: The referenced assembly is not installed on your system."

None of that has anything to do with IE,
so you would probably find better help in newsgroups
which specialize in those products.

so I uninstalled I.E. 7 but this did not work.

"did not work" is too vague a symptom description.
You haven't even disclosed your OS, so if it's Vista
you should be aware that IE7 can not be uninstalled
from it.

do you have any other
suggestions that I could do to avoid the error message "An error has occured
in the script on this page" ..."Object does not support this property or
method"?

If you have a specific problem with IE7 please
try reposting in a new thread in the IE General NG
and not trying to reactivate one in an inappropriate NG
which is almost 4 years old... ; }

Otherwise either try uninstalling/repairing your package
and if you still need help with it, post your questions
in a more relevant newsgroup.

Good luck
