Re: Java Scripts in Internet Explorer

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Thank you, Don

Responses to your questions:

1. Active scripting is indeed set to "Enable".

2. JavaScript works fine on other sites. Unfortunately, there is a problem
with two sites that are very important to me.

3. I got the pop-up “You can use JavaScript” on the test site
http://liblearn.osu.edu/tutor/jscript.html

4. I use a Norton firewall.

I am looking for a solution that is based on the MICROSOFT Java Virtual
Machine (VM). I don’t want to install the SUN Java VM becoause of possible
incompatibility problems.

Thank you for your help.

Is a third-party security program blocking JavaScript, scripting, active
content?

Is JavaScript working on other sites? How about this test page
http://liblearn.osu.edu/tutor/jscript.html ?

Hope this helps,

I have a problem to activate particular JAVA SCRIPTS on two websites that
are
very important to me.

The Java script on one website is

javascript:launchWindow('http://www.xxx.xxx …)

I cannot see the source code of the Java Script on the second website.

(There was no problem till both websites have recently updated their
code.)

Deleting TEMP files and cookies does not solve the problem.

MY PC is FULLY UPDATED, including the last update of 09.09.08.

It is very important to me to be able to access these websites.

Thank you for your help.

System data:

== Windows 2000, SP4

== Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106, Update Versions SP1, Q823353
