Thank you so much for this link, Steve!
Both my laptop and desktop had been doing exactly this for the last week
or two and it was driving me crazy. After seeing your message I
uninstalled Google Toolbar last night and everything appears to be back
to normal on both machines.
Thanks again,
Joni

Sometimes, when I try to launch IE6, no window opens. The mouse
changes to
an arrow with hourglass briefly, but the window doesn't appear.
Opening
Task Manager shows that the IEXPLORE.EXE process is running, but
nothing in
the Applications tab. Doesn't happen every time, but enough to be
annoying.
I'm running XP XP2 on an older system ( Dell Dimension 4100). The
only
recent change was replacing the monitor with a Dell flat panel. I've
scanned for viruses and spyware and all come up clean. Googling
hasn't
found any solution.
Any ideas?
