I should be able to access my router setup options by typing the IP address

Everytime I would type the IP address into the address box, I would get the
message: cannot connect to server.

Of all places, my son found a link on the Nintendo site the link worked. I
copied the link to my favorites in IE 7 and I can now access the setup page
in the router via the link.

Also, I might add that I took the router to work and could access the setup
page from my office computer by simply typing the IP address. This seems to
point to a browser issue.

What could be blocking my ability to accessing these settings by typing the
IP address. (note that I have turned off all security such as virus
protection and fire wall and this has not helped)
