Problems with previous versions of Flash can cause these issues - if they
remain on the system:
How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control

then reinstall.
If no joy....

installation

Also make sure you are not running any toolbar or "security" software with a
"block Flash" setting.
If still no joy, post this issue here where Adobe Support folk can see it:

I have a 6 year old Dell and I suddenly lost the ability to watch videos
with
IE 6. Firefox works fine.
It tells me I am missing Adobe Flash. But I've been to the Adobe web site
and have loaded it many times. I don't get any error, it just won't load,
and it won't work.
I can't use IE 7. I work at home a lot and my company does not support IE
7. I have the old Dell, which is Windows XP Home Edition, and a new HP
with
Windows Vista. But my company won't support Windows Vista, either. I
have
some computer savvy co-workers who got my new computer up and working with
Vista except for one thing: it has IE 7 on it.
So I have two computers I can't use for work because one of them has IE 6
on
it and it tells me I don't have Adobe Flash, and the other one has IE 7 on
it
and my own Help Desk won't talk to me when I tell them that.
I'd be greatful for any suggestions.
