When I run the setup command as you specify, I am asked if I want to uninstall the current version. It doesn't ask me if I want to reinstall.

I did install the SRP but that did not help.

Try and run the IE repair tool. Go to Start...Run and type in -

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

You also mentioned reinstalling SP6a for NT. Did you install the high encryption version?
