Problem in IE7. After applying KB928090 under XP Pro SP2 my favorites get
resorted after every start of IE. Lists folders first and then bookmarks
alphabetically.
Is there some new option here? I installed same update on laptop and it
works fine.

Open Favorites from the menu item, not the toolbar icon. Then right click
any of them and choose Sort by Name.
If you want them to automatically alpha-sort even as new entries are added,
you need a registry edit. Navigate to:
HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Menu
Order\Favorites
and delete the value named 'Order'. Also delete this value for any
subfolders. Then, with the favorite key highlighted, click on Edit >
Permissions and deny 'Full Access' to Administrators, yourself, etc. This
will prevent the key from being automatically recreated.
