Right click a blank spot on the taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar", then left click a blank sopt on it and drag it to where you want it. Then lock it again.

i guess i didn't mean the status bar. its the bar beside the start menu that
has the open programs displayed on it. somehow it keeps docking to the right,
since i upgraded to ie 7. do you know how to fix this? it won't just drag
back to where it belongs. thanx,kb.

If you uninstall Internet Explorer 7, it will leave an installation of IE 6.
