Hi Richard,
Click on Connections Tab then under:
Dial up and Virtual Network settings:
Say : DE COM
Click on the Settings button then on the DE COM properties setting window
click on Properties.
On the General Tab under the option for :
Connect using:
Standard Modem click on configure Button.
On the modem properties you will see these two check boxes:
[ ] Bring up terminal Window before dialing
[ ] Bring up Terminal window after dialing check both.
Also look on the Server Tab and the Scripting Tab.
HTH.
Regards,
nass

Nass.
I don't have immediate access to the two problem computers, but in reviewing my computers
(several) I cannot find the references you mention. What version of Windows are you using?

How far can you get?

Answer in newsgroup. Don't expect an answer to email.

I guess I don't know where to start.
If I go to modems in the Control Panel, I do not see a "connections tab".
If I go to my dialup connection icon in "Show all connections" and choose properties, I do not see a
"connections tab".
I have tried all the tabs and options in each.
