Version 7.00 features and newsgroup

Forgive me but I don't seem to see a 7.0 newsgroup, so I am posting this in
the old 6.0 one that I have used before. This may be OK anyway because I
want it to look more like the older 6.x versions.
Recently, probably via a routine windows upgrade, I ended up with the latest
internet explorer version - 7.00. Though I think I managed to remove some
of the noise, I still do not like the cartoonish look of the remaining icons
at the top. Is there some way to get a 'classic' look, similar to how one
can do so with windows XP?
