Re: Earthlink users

Hello Annemarie,

I use their SpamBlocker feature. However I've never downloaded and installed
the add-on into IE6 nor IE7.

From EarthLink Webmail, I set the SpamBlocker to the highest setting that
blocks ALL incoming email. Once a day, I'll receive a report listing the
email sitting in my online "suspect email" folder. If there is anything in
the list I want, I go to their Webmail website and move the email from the
"suspect" folder to my "inbox" and have the contact added to my allow list
(if I want). Then I do another send-and-receive via outlook express to get
the mail.

Works great for me, I spent a little time up front adding family and friends
to the allow list, but from there out it's a no brainer. Sure does solve
the Spam Mail problem for me.

Love it...

I suppose the add-on you refer to installs a "webmail" toolbar to IE6/IE7.
Maybe you could save the webmail page (where you would logon) link into your
IE favorites adding it to the "links" folder. If the links toolbar is turned
on, you should see it amongst your IE toolbars. Click to open the links drop
down menu and find your link to the web page. When you logon, have XP
remember your password if you want.

That pain you refer to can be made less painful!

Anybody using the spamBlocker add-on from their Outlook Express:
Earthlink
just informed me that their programmers have to work on making spamBlocker
add-on work with IE 7.0 There should be a fix available soon (I hope!).
In
the meantime, it's just inconvenient, but you can still access suspect
mail
through the main earthlink.net webpage. Just a pain!
