Solution suggested by nass seemed to work for awhile, but the same old
problem is back with a vengence... IE6 interprets a certain signal from my
mouse as if I was hitting the F1 help key and the help screen pops up.
Happens 1x every 3-4 minutes. Also now a problem with Outlook Express, but
does not seem to be a problem in any Office applications. Weird.

When clicking on webpages or scrolling through them w/ a MS wheel mouse, the
IE Help function keeps engaging and the Help screen pops up. Often. Very
annoying. Any ideas?

Try this, Open Control Panel >> Double click Networking and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options and on the IE Properties window
click on AdvancedTab.
There scroll down under the Browsing Option and uncheck this box:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Show Friendly URLs
Click Apply then [OK] to close the IE Pro Window.
Reboot your Machine and try the Internet and see if the issue will reproduce
itself again.
HTH.
Please let us know.
