I need help with what is probably a stupid question please. I have Win
98SE and IE6.
For research, I need to access a very popular (and unrestricted?)
website called www.rhymezone.com. Whether I click on this site from
Google or type in to the address bar, it always takes me to a site
called Red Hat Enterprise Linux Test Page. I can't get to the site from
this PC! I can get access from my college PC.
This is the only problem I have ever had in getting access to any
website. I run Spyware Blaster, AdAware and SpyBot. I deleted Zone
Alarm some months ago.
Do I need to change some settings in IE6 or what else do I need to do?
Thanks
Hi Flusters,
Try to open your Hosts file and remove any entries for the pre-mentioned
sites.
To open the Hosts file do the following:
Double click windows Explorer on your Desktop or through Start >> Programs
Click on [+] C:\Windows look in the Right Pane and you will see the HostsWindows explorer.
file open it with notepad and remove any reference for these sites, save and
close the Hosts file.
If you can't see it clickon show hidden files on Windows.
HTH.
Please report back your findi9ngs.

Hi Nass
Thanks for yr rapid response. There is only one reference shown in the
Hosts file. It says "127.0.0.1 local host".
Is this the problem?
