IE hanging problem.

Hi,
I'm using windows 2003 R2 operating system is my desktop.In my
m/c i have IE 6.0 with SP2 .Whenever i try to open IE ,it doesn't opens
properly ,The IE page gets hanged at the very first instance for a while and
then the page opens . I feel the refreshment time is more for opening the IE
process.
Any solution for this issue ,plz help to fix this ASAP.
