Installs Flash Player repeatedly

Since a few days ago, IE 6 will keep prompting to install Flash Player
whenever I click on multimedia content like the news videos at msnbc.com.

The latest Flash Player is already installed. I tried uninstalling it and
also checked if there was any security and add-on settings that might
prevent this add-on. But could find none - or did not know where to look.

Never happened before. I don't know if this is related, but now Firefox also
keeps prompting for Flash Player even though that plug-in has been properly
installed and is indicated so in its settings.
