Can't wait to read that stuff - I'm nodding off every few seconds so
it'll have to be later. I remember when PCs had 640kb RAM and PCTools
would let you see your files (later hard disks) sector by sector.
Using the editor I rescued a 30 page term paper where the free disk
space ASCII symbol just appeared for no reason in the middle of a
sentence. I just retyped the text for about 10 words and didn't have
to re-do the last 12 pages. Now everythings so sophisticated it takes
a degree in CS to deal with it.
