Woah-- didn't know that. I'll do that now.
Thanks

Did you remove the old version of Java??.
if not, then your system is still vulnerable to the exploits that caused the
update in the first place -
You should check in Add/Remove Programs - remove ALL older versions of Java,
so that you're left with only 1.5.0.7.

Thank you for helping :) That link didn't work for me either...
I fixed it, though. My Java needed updating. I tried playing a game and it
wouldn't work, so I updated... and because I'm stubborn, I had been trying
the link every once in a while, and eureka! After updating Java it worked.
I still don't get how this problem started (my Java was up-to-date before
I
reinstalled Windows). Ah well. At least it's fixed now :)

Just because:
I'm running XP Home Edition, all updated
IE 6 that came with the system
No other sites were affected (that I could find)

If so then there's either a DNS problem or perhaps a hosts file problem.
Also, if you use things like Google or yahoo toolbars either remove or
disable them. Same goes for popup blockers and all the other worthless
trash
that is touted as solving one problem but generally causes many more :)

I was deleting my temporary internet files and cookies and things
yesterday.
At the time, my browser was pointed to http://www.deviantart.com
...after
deleting the files (which took an oddly long amount of time), that
website
refused to load. I tried resetting IE. I tried downloading other
browsers
(Firefox, for one), but the problem persisted.
I also did a system restore, which did not help. This morning I
reinstalled
Windows (not from the CD, though...from my computer). I still can't
access
that site.
I scanned my computer for viruses and found none. No spyware either.
I'd appreciate some help, here. :( I rather like that site.
