Please
feel free to involve me during the process of contacting ZA, I am glad

The issue definitely Zone Alarm.
Now the question is ... what kind of adjustment can I make to the way
ZA
runs that will not cause this issue?

More testing required

Hi JCO,

I know Zone Alarm but never used before.

I suspect there still some ZA related registry key left after you
remove
it
the second time. You can search "Zone Alarm" in registry key to see
if
there are any.

Update:

One a test drive, this is what I've done:
I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat 7.5 Professional ... had no affect
I uninstalled Roxio Easy Media Creator 8.5... had no affect
I uninstalled Norton System Works (Anti-virus, password manager, &
Symantec
Utilities)... had no affect.
I uninstalled Zone Alarm (ZA is a firewall system)... Something
happened!!

When I rebooted, I was able to see everything fine. Now I was
happy.
Then,
to test it thoroughly, I reloaded ZoneAlarm. The issue, of not
seeing
the
linked graphics, came back. Therefore I thought for sure that it
was
ZoneAlarm (ZA). So I uninstalled ZA again. This time, it did NOT
fix
the
problem. So I'm confused as to what happened. All I can really
say
is
that
the issued magically went away for a brief moment.

I'm still researching the software issues on a test drive of mine.
All I
can do is remove more software and see what happens. I will let
you
know.

I think it is a software conflict. I'm not sure why I was able to
resolve
it for a short time, before the problem came back. Now I can't
seem
to
recreate the situation that caused it to work correctly.

I will try to do more testing. Fortunate, I had everything loaded
on
separate harddrive, therefore, I am able to test this out. Let me
know
if
you find anything out or if you have any of the same software
loaded
on
your
computer.
