Problem with IE

Hi:

I have IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519 for XP service pack 2.

Am experiencing this problem for the past month.

IE opens with my university homepage. After that, if I try to go any
other site, the "IE has experienced a problem. Do you want to report
it" window. Whether I respond yes or no, IE crashes. If I simply move
that warning window out of the way, I am able to work on that second
site, but cannot move to any other site after that. Very frustrating.
One option would be to do a factory restore, but that would necessitate
lots of work, restoring everything. The web platform that I teach on
works well only with IE. Shall appreciate any suggestions. Thanks a
