Hi,
It's likely that another program is causing this- possibly legitimate-
possibly malware.
Disable (for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers,
security, toolbars and other add-ons for IE, anti-virus, etc. Take a look at
any program that hooks into Internet Explorer. You may have to reconfigure,
reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.
Your firewall is probably not the guilty party, but turn on the Windows
Firewall (from Control Panel or Security Center) before disabling a
third-party firewall.
ToolbarCop: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm may help identify and
remove toolbars, BHOs, etc.
If not caused by a legitimate program, you should conduct a thorough search
for malware.

Computer Specs
Laptop
XP Home SP1
256 RAM
IE 6
I have all the latest windows updates
and have arlready run virus and spyware scans
Any suggestions?
