Hi Steve,
Try to check for any Malware/Grayware by downloading Anti-Adware/Virus
Scanner Software if you don't have one from here
http://www.download.com (spybot search and destroy free)
http://www.lavasoftusa.com (Ad-Ware SE free)
http://www.nasstec.co.uk/tools.html (for Avert Virus Scanner)
and see if the Malware are on your computers or not then proceed with next
step.
To find the *HOSTS * text file open your Windows Explorer and Click on the
Plus[+] Sign beside My Computer in the Left window of Explorer and go to
Windwos >> System32 >> Drivers>> etc or type it in your browser like this
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc.
and look for the *HOSTS* file in the right Window pane, the one without the
extension (Hosts.SAM) and open it in the NotePad, then Delete or remove any
listing reference for the Site you are trying to Open then Save and Close
the Notepad as it is HOSTS.txt your HOSTS file should looks like this:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# (102.54.xxx.xxx)I change this leave yours as they are
rhino.acme.com # source server
# (38.25.73.xxx) I change this leave yours as they are x.acme.com
# x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
then if that was not of a help to you try to read this link carefully and
proceed with the approriate approach to your problem.

Hope this Helps
Good luck

Hi again Nass.
Thanks for your patience.
I'm confused as to which host file you mean. Can you specify the filename
and location
Can I email you a screen shot of all the host*.* files from one of the PCs
(how do I attach files in this forum?)

Thanks

Hi Steve,
Try this and let me know please.
Try to find the HOST file not the one with extension( HOST.SAM) open it in a
notepad ,delete any refernces for these pre mentioned websites if they exsit
in that file and rename it to oldhost and reboot your computer.
if it didnot work try to go to Command prompt by RUN >> cmd >> in the
command prompt type ipconfig /flushdns Press Enter
exit the Command prompt
and go to your IE and clear your caches reboot
and try the web address
Hope this help

Hi Nass
Thanks for your reply. The java installation has made no difference
Remember that ONE account on the PC it works fine on BOTH accounts. It's not
just a case of 2 PCs don't and one PC does.
IN short...
MY account always works on all machines. Ann's only works on ONE PC. The
other two PCs give us the blank page
Happy to keep trying if you are :))

Hi Steve,
Sorry not replying quick to your Post. First you said in the last post you
did try to assign the web address in the Privacy Tap and The Content Tap and
did not work for you, do you have a Firewall installed and blocking the
website from loading. Why I'm saying Java, because If you are not installing
the latest java and some websites have Java Script coded in their Code and
try loading on your system they will not load and you get the blank page.
I would like you to check what is different about this computer than the
other in the Settings and try to match the settings on it, then here the link
below to get the latest of java version installed:
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Good luck

Hi Steve,
Try this Right Click Explorer Icon, Select Properties from the Sub-Menu and
in Security assign the web address you trust and would like it to function in
the Trusted Sites. The Same apply in the Content Tap, click Sites and Assign
the website address as Always Allow, click Ok and try to access the site on
the Computer and see if it works.
please write back here and let us know
Good Luck

P.S try to update your Java to the Latest from the Sun, www.sun.com

I'm experiencing a problem with Internet Explorer 6.
We have three PCs in our home/office. All are running XP SP2 and in terms of
installed programs are 99.9% identical.
One all three machines we have two accounts - 'mine' and my partner 'Ann'
All three PCs share a wired modem/router
On one PC, we can access ALL websites without a problem on BOTH accounts
without any problem
On BOTH of the other PCs, when logged into ANN's account, CERTAIN websites
do not appear. The best example is www.BritishAirways.com - JUST A BLANK
SCREEN
This is not the only example. Certain links on the MSN home page don't seem
to respond AT when logged into Ann's account AS IF THEY ARE NOT LINKS AT ALL
- on MY account they are fine
All PCs are spyware/malware and virus free.
I'm guessing that it must be something pretty fundamental (but not serious)
as all other software works 100% on all accounts on all machines
Happy toprovide further information if needed. Firefox is OK on all accounts
on all machines (sorry!)

Thanks
