Re: Odd behavior - no response..

Hi,
Is a firewall or other third-party security program blocking scripts,
scripting, active content? Are you sure that a pop-up blocker isn't running?
Yahoo toolbar? Google toolbar? MSN toolbar?

Or...
Try placing the site in Trusted Sites (Internet Options> Security.) Uncheck
"Require server verification" and enter the site as *.britannica.com

Also try...
Clear out the Temporary Internet Files. IE> Tools> Internet Options>
General> Delete files (and delete offline content.) It's often recommended
that the TIF folder be kept at about 50-60 MB (Settings.)

Hope this helps,
Don

Hello.
When I visit a particular site,
http://www.britannica.com/dday/browse?browseId=237176, holding Interactive
Charts and Maps, absolutely nothing happens when I click the thumbnails in
order to view the maps, ect. This problem is present on my own desktop PC
(win XP Sp2) and also on my fiancee's Laptop (also Win XP SP2). I am so
fortunate to run a desktop PC having Win XP SP 2 at work, but here the
links
works just fine. This is odd!
I have tried to compare the security settings as well as the advanced
settings in Internet Explorer, but haven't fount the culprit so far. I
also
disabled the popup blocker function, but this did not help either. Could
someone please help? Thanks, Anders, Denmark.
