Re: unable to access a certain web site....

Search your computer for a hidden file called HOSTS. Rename to HOSTS.OLD.
Test.

I am unable to access a certain web site...was there many times before but
now can't get back onto the site. When I "ping" the site it goes through
so
it has to be a problem within my pc. I have been to "internet options"
and
set everything to it's original positions. My firewall and antivirus are
not
causing the problem, I've completely shut them down to try and access the
site. Did no good, so I started them back up again. Please advise, it is
very important that I be able to access this site as it is my college
site.
PLEASE HELP!!

My operatiing system is Windows XP home. and I have eZtrust antivirus and
firewall. My IE version is 6.0.2900 all are kept updated..automaticly.
