IE6 crashes with WMP embedded!

Hi there!
Each time IE6 opens a web page containing an embedded WMP object, the
browser soon crashes and quits giving no error msg! I can't find anyone
even in the Event Register (or whatever is called in english... I have
an Italian installation). If I open the same page with Mozilla FireFox
1.5, the browser showes the Player but no movie is played! The error
number I get is "800C000D"... at least FF doesn't crash!
PLZ help! I don't know what to do!

My OS is Windows XP PRO SP2 (Italian), WMP 10, IE 6.
