Re: Cannot access page

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Four things to try:

1. Clear your TIF and History completely:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

2. Check your Cookies folder and delete any cookies that relate to the
sites in question.

3. Check your Hosts file as per this article:
Problems Using Internet Explorer with Incorrect Hosts File
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q219843

More info on the Hosts file:
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hostsfaq.htm

4. Got to a Command prompt (Start...Programs...Accessories) and type in:

ipconfig /flushdns

Hit Enter.

Hi.

I have IE version 6.0.2800.1106 SP1 running on Win2KPro. I have trouble
accessing some web pages, I keep getting "The page cannot de displayed"
message. This only happens with a few websites I visit. I also have this
problem when I want to post questions to this Microsoft's Newsgroup. When I
click on Sign In I keep getting "Action Canceled" message. I have to go to
another PC in our office to post my quesitons.

I do not have a firewall installed on my PC. Can someone help me?

Thank you.
