Hi Jan.

I'm using Windows XP Home.

I tried your thoughts. I didn't have "use simple file sharing" in the
folder options.

Also, no security tab for my printer.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks again!

Hi Scott :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Double click the My Compute icon on the Desktop>Tools>Folder Options>
View
UNcheck "Use simple file sharing (recommended)."
Then go to Start>Settings>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes
Right click on the object printer and click Properties>Security tab
You can add a user or group to the printer and then set the permissions
for
that User for the printer, in your case, you would likely only want to
check
the Print box.

This way they can print to the printer, but, should not be able to make
any
changes to the printer settings on the dialog box.

Hope this helps.

Hi

I'm using IE 6.0 for public display of a website (the site is stored
locally
on the hard drive). If someone hits the print button, the print
confirmation
box pops up. This allows someone to switch printers, number of prints,
etc.
I need to find a way to keep this box from popping up and just printing
automatically to the default printer.

Any ideas??

Thank you VERY much.
