I don't know what else it could be. Try saving your download to a
different folder? If you are using a work computer check with your system
administrator. Perhaps they are doing something.

Yes, I am running high-end antivirus, antispyware and firewall software
and
it's set to alert me to any activity. However, it's not finding anything.

Any other ideas?

This is weird!

When I download something using IE6, the file appears breifly in the
folder,
but then deletes automatically. It doesn't go to the recycle bin
however.

I don't find this with FireFox.

Any ideas?
