Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Delete your temporary internet files (cache) and reboot the PC and try
again. Usually fixes the problem.

When I right-click on a picture in a web page and select "Save picture as"
the only option I get for file type ("Save as type:) in which to save the
picture is .bmp.

Does anybody know how to make IE suggest a .jpg option for saving?
(It happens with both .jpg and .gif pictures)
