Sorry... I lost track of this topic. And, I'm not sure that I have any
worthwhile ideas.
Try:
* Clear the History and the cache (Temporary Internet Files.)
* Delete any cookies from that site.

The fact that multiple browsers are involved, still, I think, points to a
third-party program.

Hi,
Can you open a second IE window via right-click (on a link) Open in New
Window?
Are you sure that the Yahoo toolbar isn't listed in Control Panel>
add/remove programs? It's sometimes installed with other programs and users
don't realize that it's there.
Next, Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone> set it to Default.
Internet Options> Privacy... slider at Low or Med or cookies allowed for
that site?
Are you sure that Norton was disabled? If you disabled the Norton firewall,
be sure to turn on the Windows Firewall (Control Panel> Windows Firewall.)
Researching processes and applications (Ctrl-Alt-Del) is an excellent idea.
Keep at it.

to see if Javascript is working.
