Hey Rob, -- thanks for the input, but - the laptop via wireless still works,
so to me this say it is not the ISP as the cable modem, the router and the
ISP connection work on the laptop, but not the desktop which is connected to
router via Ethernet port. If I power of and then on the router, no change
in desktop. Only solution is to re-boot the desktop.
When I say sometimes, 90% of the time it will not work in the morning, and
if I am gone most of the day (8 hours) it also does not work.
Net is I would like to repair it -- to the point I am saying this system is
4 years old, let trash it and buy a new one.
How do I get a copy of IE 6 to install fresh? Should I use Add/Delete
Programs to remove it and then reinstall it?
