Yep, it seemed that way to us too but plugged in directly to the modem cured
the problem and we concluded that some MTU settings had been changed and
there was the problem, another machine on same router worked fine. That is
the reason I asked, just in case you could put anything together with it. If
the PCs are on different systems though that does make it even less likely.
http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks has a test which will show if anything is
wildly out but from your reply I do doubt that is the problem. At this point
I am stuck for more suggestions.
