Or because everyone who knows the answer thinks it has been answered
often enough recently and is easily discoverable. All posters should learn
to search first and refer to the results of their searches before posting IMO.
The old USENET convention about posting in a new newsgroup was to do
enough reading to be familiar with the current topics being discussed.
That may not apply in these forums but I think searching before posting
in here is an appropriate alternative convention. The intent of both conventions
is to be respectful of others' time.
