iexplorer.exe Application Error message

I posted a question under this subject last week and followed up on
suggested course of action: virus scan, bleeming computer, etc., My problem
remains unresolved. I continue to get the following message when I try to
close IE after looking at some Favorites: "Acrobat IE Helper: iexplorer.exe
Application Error. Click OK to terminate the program."
I have also made an effort to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat Reader and its
security updates.
Any help would be welcome.
