Do you have something left in your proxy settings that was left over from
your old ISP? Did you install some sort of software to connect to their
services? If so did you uninstall that software? I'd look and see if maybe
you have setup a proxy. Firefox would, I think, ignore the proxy unless you
specifically had added it. IE would fail if it was no longer valid. Norton,
well, I can't speak for them, but they may use the proxy settings they cull
from the registry. That's where I'd look at any rate.
