Add/remove in the control panel... Is there an application, down near the
bottom, called something like "Yahoo! Mail" in there? You don't have to
uninstall the messenger itself but you might have a corrupt Yahoo! Mail
(comes with the bloated version of Yahoo! Instant Messenger or at least it
did) installation. If you remove it it might resolve itself if that's the
problem.
