Many thanks for your words of advice above. I too have had this problem for
a while; I cannot reach any website at all using IE6 but have no such
problems with Netscape, Opera or Firefox (all of which I have installed).
Anyway, after reading your reply, I went to the 'bug' link, downloaded the
winsockxpfix, ran it, re-booted and voila!! IE now works! So thanks very much
.
